At the point, Canadian journalist/musician Nardwuar has solidified his standing amongst one of the greatest in media (as well as one of the most unhinged, unorthodox individuals on camera). For the last few decades, the self-proclaimed Human Serviette has floored Rap and Rock’s most notable figures with his seemingly CIA-level abilities, bringing forth life-changing moments (and even symbolic gifts) that wouldn’t typically be known outside of the interviewee’s closest circles (ex. Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg and Odd Future). Unsurprisingly, some artists didn’t quite get the format, leading to less-than-upbeat results.

For his latest, Nardwuar catches up with the always-animated Desiigner, who was one of many touching down during SXSW in Austin, TX. During the stand-up interview, the Brooklyn emcee (with his manager, Zana Ray) spoke on Blues legend Sidney “Guitar Crusher” Selby (Desiigner’s grandfather), his Barbados lineage, Rush Hour 2 (he’s apparently a big Jackie Chan and martial arts fan), Lil Kim and much more…viewers were even rewarded with a full run-down of all of Desiigner’s sound effects.

Lil Yachty has quickly made his impact on the music world, utilizing his melodic voice and brightly-colored red hair to win over the youth. Yachty (a.k.a. Lil Boat) is the self-proclaimed King of the Teens, holding his presence high over the young spirits.

While posting up in Vancouver, Canada, Lil Yacthy and Nardwuar went head-to-head in an interview, with Nardwuar challenging Yachty on his past. Eventually, Burberry Perry (now known as The Good Perry) was asked some questions. Perry sampled The Rugrats in one of his productions that he crafted for Yachty. Yachty wanted it to be sampled badly, due to his love for the show he had growing up. Yachty also shared the love he had for the band Coldplay and what their music meant to him. When it comes down to it, Ghost Stories  is Yachty’s favorite Coldplay album.

“Bruh this is my favorite album of all time,” Yachty enthusiastically said. “I can sing every song on this b***h from head-to-toe. This is my favorite album from them.”

Nardwuar has been running wild the past week, engaging with the artists located in Austin, TX for SXSW. Previously going into an interview with Kehlani and DJ Khaled, Nardwuar now interviews Metro Boomin.

If you’ve been watching Metro Boomin’s progress over the years, he’s humbled, hungry, and just wants to work hard at his craft. His journey has taken him out of the Morehouse College atmosphere and put him in the studio with some of hip-hop and pop culture’s biggest names. Ultimately, it has led him to brand himself beyond the producer standpoint; becoming apart of pop-culture itself.

His producer tags are a huge part of it all. “This beat is so-so Metro” began the run, then to “Metro Boomin want some more ni**a.” From there, it went to “Young Metro (x3)” and into “If Young Metro don’t trust ya, i’m gon’ shoot you.” Now everyone is questioning if Metro trusts them or not.

During his interview with Nardwuar, Metro was gifted a Tupac Shakur doll, the size of his hand. “Pac was real, and he put everything into his music, the passion and the drive,” Metro Boomin said on Tupac.

In authentic Nardwuar-fashion, he pulled out some old pictures and some old records to catch a nostalgic moment for Metro. Nardwuar even pulled out an old J-Kwon record.

“Does Young Metro trust Trump,” Nardwuar asked. Metro responded “Who can trust that ni**a?”

Without a question, Nardwuar the “Human Serviette” has one of the most interesting interview structures in music today. He gifts artists with material they don’t expect in addition to talking about things they would never imagine he would know. For his latest interview, he took some time to speak with Travi$ Scott in Vancouver, BC, Canada and not even La Flame himself could believe the type of digging Narquar did for this interview. They talk about many different subjects such as Keith Haring art, punk rock, his old Spanish teacher, and even his father’s career as a musician. He also brings DJ Chase B out to talk as well.
