</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-zed1-controlling-time-and-its-meaning/">Zed 1</a></strong>, Italian street artist also known as Mark Burresi, completed the mural above in <strong>Amsterdam</strong>. He created a large colorful piece featuring his grotesque characters. This piece was ordered by  <a href="http://www.lookforart.nl/" target="_blank">Look For Art Gallery, </a>henxs paintshop and <a href="http://streetart.nl/" target="_blank">StreetArt.nl</a>. The artist  skillfully brought humor to an upsetting situation of conflict.</p>

<p><strong>The Canemorto</strong> trio has been spreading their colors across the walls of <strong>Italy</strong>. <strong>Neneboy</strong>, <strong>Zenop</strong>, and <strong>Azz The One</strong> are three Italian street artists who say they &#8220;paint together as a single person.” The group is grotesquely entertaining. Their characters&#8217; abnormal proportions draw in the eye and their expressive faces almost emit an audible grunt. The drawings are so childlike it&#8217;s as if they were using crayon instead of paint.</p>

The Italian Brooklyn-based artist experimented once again with his signature portraits. The pupil of Federico Massa&#8217;s eyes always shimmers, creating an appealing and lively figure. His mask-like figures brings the saying, &#8220;Plaster a smile on&#8221; to life. The viewers&#8217; inability to tell whether the smiles are fake or not makes his work that much more intriguing.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-cruz-plasters-smiles-to-the-walls/streetartnews_cruz_okata/" rel="attachment wp-att-47602"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="47602" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2012/09/street-art-cruz-plasters-smiles-to-the-walls/streetartnews_cruz_okata/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_okata.jpg?fit=640%2C478&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,478" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Cruz Okata" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_okata.jpg?fit=640%2C478&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_okata.jpg?fit=640%2C478&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-47602 aligncenter" title="Cruz Okata" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_okata.jpg?resize=640%2C478" alt="" width="640" height="478" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>Constantly finding innovative ways to depict basic face features, Cruz always surprises us. A recurrent symbol in his piece is  a cross  in his character&#8217;s forehead. Perhaps he feels compelled to put religion on the forefront of his work maybe? His characters are always inspired by a culture: whether it&#8217;s Mexico or marine life.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-cruz-plasters-smiles-to-the-walls/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza-jpg22/" rel="attachment wp-att-47603"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="47603" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2012/09/street-art-cruz-plasters-smiles-to-the-walls/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza-jpg22/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza.jpg22.jpg?fit=640%2C618&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,618" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="streetartnews_cruz_ibiza." data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza.jpg22.jpg?fit=640%2C618&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza.jpg22.jpg?fit=640%2C618&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-47603 aligncenter" title="streetartnews_cruz_ibiza." src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/streetartnews_cruz_ibiza.jpg22.jpg?resize=640%2C618" alt="" width="640" height="618" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>Cruz&#8217;s work is strengthen by his ability to convey emotions through a deeper use of colors. The artist always uses a particular shape for his character&#8217;s eyes. The only variation being their color, and each color is associated to a different emotion.</p>

<blockquote><p><span style="color: #000000;">For years, Japanese manhole covers have featured bright and colorful artistic designs. Now, thanks to street art legends like <strong>Shepard Fairey</strong>, <strong>The London Police</strong>, and <strong>Invader</strong>, Milan has something to brag about too. Those artists have, with a push from the Don Gallery, provided wrought iron covers to decorated main arteries in the city.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Flying Fortress and Rendo are also on board and the work will remain in use for two years. <em>(via <a title="curated mag - Street Art Manhole Covers in Milan " href="http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&amp;tt=url&amp;intl=1&amp;fr=bf-home&amp;trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fglltn.com%2Fblog%2F2010%2F11%2Fshepard-fairey-invader-the-london-police-flying-fortress-and-rendo-manholes-project-milan%2F%3Futm_source%3Dfeedburner%26utm_medium%3Dfeed%26utm_campaign%3DFeed%253A%2BGuillotine%2B%2528Guillotine%2529&amp;lp=fr_en&amp;btnTrUrl=Translate" target="_blank">Gltn</a>). </em></span></p></blockquote>
