Birdd Luciano, after speaking on feeding his fanbase during quarantine, is back with another summer hit with the “Top Shottas remix” featuring VH1 Love & Hip Hop Miami Rapper Hood Brat.

“Top Shottas” is a stand out track from his ‘Ghetto Blessings’ project. Birdd pairs a great melodic flow to match the aquatic and dance reggae vibe the instrumental radiates creating a high energy island-inspired sensation with a Chicago edge. VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Cast Member & Miami rapper Hood Brat comes through with a serious, clear cut voice and fun wordplay. She adds a diverse flair with her delivery which blends with Bird’s style. Luciano continues to prove he is an artist to watch in the industry and is working non stop on forming his on path.

Originally scheduled to perform this at Rolling Loud in Miami in May 2020, Birdd and Hood Brat will be taking the stage in 2021 to perform the new single along with a video coming soon.

Outside of LoVe me Now, Uno worked on Tory’s 2018 project Memories Don’t Die, producing standout cuts like “B.I.D” and “Connections.” Other artists he’s worked with consist of A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Rich the Kid, Zoey Dollaz, and more. Uno also helped produce A Boogie’s “4 Min Convo,” landing him another hit record. “[They heard the] beat and instantly asked me to send him that beat which I did,” Uno details the collaboration. Peep the interview below.

How did you come up with the name Uno?

I came up with the name “Uno” due to feeling like there’s only one me and that the energy and presence I have is irreplaceable.

Take me back to your teenage years, what was music like for you?

Music for me in my teenage years shaped me to be the man I am today. Music back then had more of a message inside the music compared to music now I love listening to old music especially music when I was in high school from 2005 to ’08.

How’d you get your foot into music?

I’ve been in music my whole life. My family is big in music all the way from, reggae, dancehall, and hip hop so it was natural for me to fall in love with music and pursue it.

You executive produced Tory Lanez’s 2018 album LoVE mE NOw, walk me through that experience.

LoVe me NOw is very special to me because I put that whole album together and to see it go No. 1 on Billboard is a dream come true. There’s no better feeling than your best friend trusting you and your ear to guide him on an album and allow you to lead. Especially with Tory, we are both Leo’s so we like to lead and never follow but in this case he allowed me to be great and trust me. I love him for life for that

What’s the conversation like when working with Tory Lanez?

The conversations with Tory is always full of jokes but serious at the same time. One thing that inspires me about Tory is how dedicated he is to his craft so I usually ask him what direction are we trying to go with the music and from there I find the beats or cook up melodies that I feel fits him well dope process we have together.

Did you have a chance to work on ‘El Auga’ or ‘Chixtape 5’ as well?

Yes I did get a chance to work on El Agua, we are still working on it. So far I have one record on there hoping to get a few more on there as well. Now for Chixtape 5, I usually just give him ideas for beats to sample at the moment I don’t have any placements but I did help get a few features for Tory on there. Hoping to land one or two on there because Tory is at the end of wrapping it up.

Outside of obviously Tory, who else have you worked with?

Outside of Tory, I’ve worked with Zoey Dollaz, A Boogie, G4 Boyz, Jacquees, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and Rich the Kid.

Working with A Boogie on “4 Min Covo,” tell me a little about that.

So working with A Boogie is a pretty dope story. His right-hand man which is one my good homies, Qp, reached out to me about A Boogie coming to Miami and wanting to work with Tory so when they came into town I was playing beats n songs I placed for Tory and he heard the “4 Min Convo” beat and instantly asked me to send him that beat which I did. Eight months later I see him and Qp online asking who made the beat I reached out and told him it was myself and my bro CP Dubb who made the beat and the rest is history.

What are your goals for this year?

My goals for this year is to get more beat placements, place some dope hooks I’ve been in my songwriting back lately, and lastly, my biggest goal is to give the music game the best compilation album people have ever heard. Hoping to drop it at the end of the year. Name of my album will be I Can’t Miss.

Love & Hip Hop: Miami star, Amara La Negra, is a Afro-Latina singer who grew up dancing and acting. She dealt with much adversity and racism even as a child in the entertainment industry. Amara looked up to Celia Cruz, an Afro-Cuban salsa singer that was the only woman in the music industry that resembled her. Like Cruz, Amara La Negra wants to be a role model for Afro-Latinas coming up in the industry today. Now, with new multi-album record deal and soon, her debute on the big screen, Amara is working to bridge the gap.

We sat down with Amara La Negra and spoke to her about her past, present and future. 

What was your childhood like? How did the things you did as a child build you into who you are today? 

It was a lot of work. I started doing beauty pageants when I was 4 years old so my whole life I’ve known what I wanted to do. My whole life I been preparing for this. I definitely do think the struggles my mother went thru, the things I saw her do and the strength she had as an immigrant in this country to make sure I was good gave me the confidence I have today.

You mentioned your mother. She’s the real deal parent. She did everything in her power to give you a great life. What does it mean to you to have someone like that in your corner?

She’s the only person to be there for me no matter what was going on or what happened. It definitely means a lot to know that I’m not alone in this world, you know what I mean? A lot of people are here for the hype, a lot of people are here for the benefits but she’s the one person I know that will be there for me no matter what. 

A lot of people don’t know you were a certified Zumba instructor. What is it about dancing that you loved so much? 

Well I originally became a Zumba instructor because I was over weight and wanted to lose the weight. I started teaching because I was already a professional dancer in the past so it was just perfect. I truly enjoy dancing. It’s another way of expressing myself through my body movements. I would never be able to sing without dancing. 

How did you get your start in the music industry?

Well, I started when I was 4 years old. I was there every Saturday for 6 years but I officially began singing professionally when I was 15 or 16 years. All my life I knew what I wanted to do and music has definitely been it. 

We know you love Beyoncé and Tina Turner. Who else would you like to work with in the future? 

I’m very open-minded. I would love to work with Rihanna. I know it may seem crazy right now but nothing is impossible in this world. There are many talented women I would love to work with not only here in the United States but in Brazil, in Europe so like I said, I’m very open-minded.

You’re a member of the Love & Hip Hop: Miami cast. Does being on the show add any pressure to make good music? 

Not to make good music. It definitely adds pressure to the drama in my life that’s not really like that. My life can be dramatic in other aspects but not when it comes to men, women or none of that stuff. That’s not really who I am. Anybody who knows me knows my whole life revolves around my mom and my career. That’s pretty much it. I do understand it’s a reality TV show and with the good comes the bad. The people like the drama.

Any upcoming music, projects or a tour to look forward to? 

Actually, yes! I’m working on my EP called, Unstoppable, which will be out at the end of this year or the beginning of 2019. It means a lot to me because it’s my first American EP ever. I’m working really hard cause I want it to be the best I could ever imagine. I’ve recorded so many songs and I feel like none of them are good enough. I want to do something really amazing so I’m very tough on myself. I’m a perfectionist but it’s coming along. 

2018 has been a great year for you. What does the future look like and what’s next for you?

I’m working on my EP, I just finished filming my first movie that will air on BET and Netflix so far. I’m working on my second movie called, Men Issues, in February which I am an executive producer. I just signed a book deal for children’s books and I have a lot going on. I’m still performing, doing commercials and everything everywhere else.

Bronx native Fred The Godson fell in love with Hip Hop at a young age and has since made a name for himself as a lyricist in the game.  Fred is one of the few that has continued to uphold Hip Hop’s origins, known for his freestyle punchlines and witty bars.  Since his XXL Freshman cover feature with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Meek Mill, he has continued to leave his imprint on the culture, creating music with the likes of artists like Dave East, Vado, Joel Ortiz and more.

Fred’s latest project, “Special Love” featuring Rick Ross and Sincere Gubano is a transition record, sonically disparate from his distinct boom bap sound. Produced by The HeatMakerz, the track caters to the ladies and samples the classic record, “Tender Love” by Force M D’s.  This is the first release leading up to his next project, slated to drop this Fall.

“The second I heard the record I could hear Rick Ross on there with me, so I called Fat Joe to come down to the studio to hear it.  Joe lost Rick Ross’s number, so he had to call DJ Khaled to get it.  We talked to Rick Ross and the rest is history.” – Fred The Godson

K. Foxx is the doing her thing as talent on Miami’s 103.5 The Beat, part of iHeart media’s family of networks.

Foxx got her start at WQOK in Raleigh, North Carolina, moved to Miami and actually hosted a radio show with DJ Khaled.

In between her busy schedule, the New York native chatted with me on Scoop B Radio about her journey.

Being in the south, ya gotta wonder:  does K. Foxx miss New York?  “I miss New York for the energy,” K. Foxx told me on Scoop B Radio.

K.Foxx added:

“You know, culturally I grew up as an arts baby. So I was acting and dancing and singing and I love it for that, you know what I mean? But then as I got older and I moved to North Carolina I kinda calmed down; the new Yorker in me, the rage in me calmed down. And then I was able to sleep in silence, as opposed to thinking that people were coming to get me when it was quiet outside. So I’m like: ‘okay this is cool I like fresh air.’ I like getting in the car and driving now, as opposed to just hopping on the train, you know with all types of stuff that could pop off in any second. But I miss new York for the culture and for the hustle attitude, the nonstop. But then I also like my quality of life in Miami, I like waking up to the ocean.”

Sounds like she’s living good, made the right decision, a businees decision and she’s blessed!
