Carolina Rapper Nick Grant is one of the premiere guys in the rap game and has held down his spot since 2010. With his quick delivery and storytelling rhymes he will forsure be in the game for many more years to come. Keeping rap greats on his inspiration bar he draws inspo from legends such as 2pac, Jay-Z, Nas and Rakim to name a few. In 2017, he released the Return Of The Cool which featured acts such as BJ The Chicago Kid, Ricco Barrino and many more. The album hit Top 30 on the hip-hop charts and just last year he gave fans the Dreamin’ Out Loud mixtape which featured Yo Gotti, DJ Khaled, DRAM and many more. If you haven’t purchased the Dreamin’ Out Loud mixtape you can here.
“I grew to learn life is about experiences,” Grant says about his new collection. “Everything that I created I was inspired by something, from going on tour with Nas, to having conversations with different people that I love or respect. Things that I experienced opened the door to create when inspired or led me through something to talk about it.”
We caught up with Nick during Luda Day Weekend at the celebrity basketball game to talk hoops and how RESPECT was one of the first magazines to show him love. Check out the interview below.
