Hampton, Virginia is known for many things ranging from Allen Iverson, racism, Michael Vick and more. The historical region carries a long and storied history, for better or worse, and music is one of its’ favorite muses. Hailing from the peninsula itself, 23-year-old rapper Mackderico looks to carve out his own place in the record books with the release of his infectious new tape, Hyperbolic Time Chamber 2.

Mackderico drops off more heat for the summer, following up with another handful of heavy-hitting songs for his “Hyperbolic Time Chamber 2” mixtape series. The project hosts 9 tracks, with monstrous production coming from frequent collaborations with some of Virginia’s notable rising talents, DJ Past, DJ Davy Wreck, and Readyrockjames.

Other features come from fellow VA natives, Bo The Slave, Ty Safarii (of BRZPRK), and Shark City’s very own, Young Crazy. From front to back, the project offers a solid bang for any situation that needs lots of energy. Mackderico is another representation for the generation of music that is now taking over. His energy on a track is undeniable, and his new anime-inspired project speaks to that in volume.
