There’s no more denying that Las Vegas is a hotbed for upcoming musical talent. Sure, the city may not be on par with the LA’s, the Atlanta’s & the Chicago’s — Philly, we got y’all ass — but in the past year, cats like Richie Bux, Sebastian Reynoso, B.B. Knight & more have carved out a realistic lane for LV artists to shine. Another one of those pioneers is Jayy, who after a scorching year, returns with the video for his new single, “Bet.”

Set to the tone of the signature CashMoneyAP keys, “Bet,” is Jayy taking a step forward as an artist lyrically, while still keeping the same Boy Next Door charming qualities that make him a favorite with the women. Throughout the video, though, Jayy ditches that for some desert fun with his homeboys and a few toys. The result is a crazy visual set to the soundtrack of an even better track.

Swagger goes a long way in life, but in Hip-Hop, it’s paramount. Confidence, or a lack of it, can make or break an artist in this confrontational genre faster than a Steph Curry pull up. Now, there’s a few different ways of being confident. There’s the tough guy spiel, the “I have more money than you” shtick & my personal favorite, “I’ve just simply got more hoes than you.” Las Vegas Jay is a complete embodiment of the latter two & proves it in the new video for, “Bandz Is Up.”

Set to the backdrop of money falling everywhere, with an energetic Jayy front and center, “Bandz Is Up” is an enigmatic track that highlights Jayy’s unquestioned swagger and knack for melodic progression. Building on the sound that helped break his image, Jayy opts for the melodic run ons as opposed to the aggressively delivered bars we saw on previous releases. Personally, I’m a fan of the change as it creates a market for his charm to resonate with the females — although, “Throwin’” is probably the best Las Vegas visual release of 2018.

The entertainment business does a great job of weeding itself out every so often. Sure, plenty of One Hit Wonders slip through the cracks but they usually fall right back into place after their 15 minutes. The stars, though? You can always tell who they are just by how they carry themselves. Looking like one of the latter, Las Vegas up and comer Jayy is back with his bouncy new single, “Bandz Is Up.”

Set to the tone of solid layers of production from buzzing beat maker CashMoneyAP, “Bandz Is Up” is a stunt-on-your-ex anthem mixed in with a special middle finger to the gold diggers coming off the rim attempting to be a rebound. While we may entertain your evil ways, we know exactly what you’re up too.

After making some noise with his recently released, “Throwin’” video catching steam via PornHub & NoJumper, it’s only a matter of time before this “budding” star takes his place among the new wave.

A couple months ago, we introduced you to a rising artist from Las Vegas named Jayy. After breaking through locally as one half of the Very Vegas duo, Jayy released the raunchy video for, “Throwin’” this year, which has gotten him interviews and recognition by PornHub for the songs uncensored Visuals. Not one to let the hype die down, the Sin City native is back with a vegence in the video for, “Check.”

Produced by Yung Nab, “Checks” has a menacing yet, comforting feeling to it. While Jayy let’s his thoughts out in the open from the absolute jump, rhyming about heart break and the overcoming of it through materialism over the quick cut bass kicks. The video also highlights these qualities, as Jayy looks incredibly sad talking about past lovers but is obviously in an enviable position with thousands of dollars, Hennessy & some Raf Simmons kicks to ease the pain.

With, “Throwin’” claimed by some to be a fluke or a publicity stunt, “Check” shows that not only is Jayy here for the long run, but that there’s nothing you can do about it. Check out, “Check” below and get hip to the  Vegas Boy.

Hip-Hop has come a long way since the beginning. Remember the days where smoking weed and getting too raunchy were real concerns from artists? Remember when a risqué video could be grounds for a stalled album rollout? Yeah, me either. All I remember is, “Tip Drill” and apparently Las Vegas native Jayy is on the same tip as he drops off the X-rated, PornHub-supported new visuals for his new single, “Throwin‘.”

Coming in off of his super solid solo debut, Casanova, “Throwin'” is an energetic, high-octane party track that perfectly set the plate for these visuals. Throughout the video, you’ll find exactly zero male figures not named Jayy and bathroom full of soapy beauties. “Honestly we were just going to have me in the tub by myself,” the Las Vegas native told RESPECT., “I sent a text to a friend and she said she would be down to be in it. 2 hours later, her other friends said they liked the song so they said they would be down too. So you coulda kinda say we didn’t really plan it, just manifested itself.” Continuing on the raunchy nature of the video, Jayy said, “When we were shooting the video I already knew it could possibly rub some people the wrong way but ask any of the girls and videographer we all had fun and loved the outcome of the video. No regrets.”

Speaking on his recent release, Casanova, Jayy also noted, “This is some of my best work on this last EP from the music to the creative direction this time around. Definitely the most fun project I’ve done so far so it’s nice to get positive energy back from everyone. I hope this video turns heads and gives my project some advertisement because I truly believe my talent can take me out of Vegas and around the world. My plans for this year consist of my headlining shows, networking with more artists and securing the bag.”
