When it comes to artists that have truly made a dent in the Hip-Hop industry, who also happen to hail from Las Vegas, the list probably stops at Dizzy Wright, and even that’s debatable. Still, despite the lack of mainstream coverage in a town where entertainment is king, culture has been brewing in the City of Sin for quite some time now. One of the artists who is known in the city as having been a big spearhead to that culture is <del datetime="2017-06-29T17:24:07+00:00">Northtown</del> Norftown native T.Rabb, who’s been starting waves in the 702 since the Dizzy D. Flashy days. Fresh off of releasing his mixtape, Free Throws — which was a local favorite and criminally underrated nationally — Rabb is back with the new single, “Headlock” and this time he’s got a familiar friend with him.

Recreating the magic the duo had on, “Garlic Oil,” Raab recruited fellow Norftown native — and noted Prodigy stan — G. Reed to the party and he did not disappoint. The two trade vicious barbs over the hyphy, almost Bay-Area-like production for almost 4-and-a-half minutes, putting the city — and presumably the rest of the country — on notice. With all of this great music hailing from Sin City in the last 12-months, don’t be surprised to see one of the bunch break through the barriers pretty soon.

Check out the wavy new track, “Headlock” below and be sure to keep an eye on the Vegas scene before the bandwagon reaches capacity.

Back in 2010, notable classic movie network, AMC debuted a new action series that had the nerds going bananas. What had started as a comic-book series with a cult following, The Walking Dead has turned into a full fledged 360 degree marketable enterprise. Hats, video games, spin-offs and more have branched off from the iconic series due to it’s many classic scenes. The show has taken the cliff-hanger theory and squeezed out every tinny-tiny bit of it’s value time and time again, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. But nothing had people talking more than the incredibly intense scene to end out season 6–where main character Negan goes absolutely ape shit and attacks everybody and their mom in an executioner style scene that will either send chills up your spine and make you a fan, or completely turn you off to the show.

Naturally, this fits Hip-Hop’s root theory and aesthetic, so it was only a matter of time before the scene was created by a wordsmith. First up? Las Vegas spitter Miles Low, who comes in with the finale-inspired visual for, “Eenie Meenie” featuring fellow 702 rep, G. Reed.

Coming right out the gate with a catchy hook and a calculated delivery, Low lets his motives on the track be known within the first couple of seconds. “Eenie Meenie miny moe, catch a rapper by his flow,” the Vegas native taunts on the hook, before he gets into his scathing verse that no doubt includes shots at the politics of the music business with barbs like, “Yall Sentimental, I sent the missile, I meant to hit you/ I grasp the pencil, the shits a pencil, I been official.” Never the one to be out done, Reed nearly steals the show with his verse to close the track out; setting the tone immediately, kicking off his verse with, “Eenie Meenie miny me, all I see is tiny Reeds.”

Check out the lyrically driven track and it’s creative video above, and be sure to keep an eye out for Miles and his FCCMG clique.

They say balance is the key to life, and that moderation is key. Too much of anything will kill you, that’s the rumor that’s been belted through the grapevine for centuries. It’s also the notion being preached by Las Vegas native G. Reed in his wavy new single, “Delicate Balance” produced by RESPECT. favorite Asaiah Ziv.

“Delicate Balance” is a modern boom bap track with a healthy dose of lyricism. G. Reed raps, “My nig*as got my back but I got my spine/ I love my enemy, I think he give me peace of mind” over dusty drum breaks and varying continuous synths. “The title actually comes from the original title of Dr. Strangelove,” says the Las Vegas native to RESPECT., “They didn’t run with it, but (Stanley) Kubrick called it The Delicate Balance of Terror.” Reed continued, “I loved it for the song, because I feel like life is full of contradictions and we have to balance good and evil.”

Check out the introspective track, “Delicate Balance” below, which is off of Reed’s upcoming project, The Manifesto.
