Boogie – Everything’s For Sale

Introducing the first official entry for best album of 2019. Fans have been waiting for a new album from Boogie for a while now; finally, the Compton rapper delivers his official major label debut album, Everything’s For Sale. The project sees 13 tracks and additional appearances from Snoh Aalegra, J.I.D, 6LACK, Eminem (there’s a debate on whether his contribution was necessary) and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. Yungen – Project Purple

Today, London emcee Yungen delivers his new album Project Purple, which is presumably a continuation of 2014’s Project Black & Red. Project Purple is led by the singles “Comfortable” (which features Dappy and comes with a visual, also below) and the One Acen-assisted “Pricey.” The release sees 9 tracks total, which can be streamed below.

Dreezy – Big Dreez

Years after her debut No Hard Feelings, genre-bending artist Dreezy is back with a new project titled Big Dreez. This go ’round, the Chicago emcee delivers ten new tracks and appearances from Kash Doll, Jeremih, Jacquees, Offset and Derez De’Shon. Turn up with one of Chicago’s finest below.

Jeezy & Boston George – Boston George & Diego

No one saw this coming, apparently. While working on his new album, Jeezy found time to connect with rising star Boston George for a new project titled Boston George & Diego, a 9-track offering that sees assistance from Boo Rossini, Tay Keith and more. Quality drug raps await you below.

Jay Prince – WONDER

Chicago’s Dreezy is back with a brand new single titled “Where Them $ At,” which sees production from London On Da Track (so you know this one bangs). You can check that out above.

That’s not all Dreezy’s up to, either: the young star will appear in the forthcoming Netflix film Beats, which is centered around “an agoraphobic Hip-Hop prodigy and a disgraced former music manager” who “cross paths in Chicago’s South Side and help each other face demons of their pasts.” That is set to be released sometime next year.

The more things change the more they stay the same. While “Bye Felicia” has become more of a social norm in the past few years, ABC’s Robin Roberts used the phrase last week with her dismissal of Omarosa Manigault, producer and songwriter D. Brooks Exclusive has turned the term into a banger with some hard hitting production while KD Young Cocky flows over the instrumentation like only he can.

The Chicagoan made headlines in 2017 with his work featuring Bump J, Future, Rico Nasty, NBA Young Boy and others. Expect 2018 to be even bigger for him as he is developing new artist and producing hits with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Dreezy, and YFN Lucci.

This is the type of combination that makes you love Hip-Hop even more. Three of the genre’s brightest — Chicago’s Dreezy, Atlanta’s 6LACK and Pompano Beach’s Kodak Black — come together on the Stwo-produced “Spar,” which sees the collaborators sending a powerful message to Donald Trump and his constituents:

My word is bond as f***
My life is hard enough
They not rewarding us
They disregarding us
And if I go to D.C, I’m tryna spar with Trump
I’m not a politician, you can’t ignore the stuff

All three stand their collective ground on the track, with 6LACK reflecting on raising his daughter and Dreezy getting real about murder at the hands of police. Kodak gets even more extreme with his thoughts, speaking on weather control and how he can’t buy liquor but can go to war or do time in prison.
