There has been news recently about President Elect Donald Trump not wanting to live full time in the White House. It turns out that he is not the only one who does not want to reside in the traditional home of the first families.

The Trump Tower in New York is apparently going to be the White House outside of DC, according to Esquire. Melania and Barron Trump, wife and son to the President Elect, will remain in Trump Tower. It is reported by a source close to the family that the presidential race was difficult for Barron, so he will remain living somewhere he is familiar with to avoid disruption, and will still be able to attend his private school in the Upper East side. Melania, who is very close to her son, will remain with him, and will travel to the White House “as needed”.

This is not going to be an easy feat, or one that is very convenient for other residents of New York. Jim Reese, former Delta Force commander and president of global security company TigerSwan, told the Post:

[Trump Tower] is going to become the White House of New York. The Secret Service is going to have to keep that whole area cordoned off so that some wacko can’t get close and detonate a car bomb.

We will wait and see if this situation will remain the same all 4 years of the presidency, or if some changes will have to occur.
