The Dynamic Hip-Hop Artist Officially Releases His 8th Segment Of 52 For #MeanMondays. If you aren’t familiar yet, R-Mean is the first rapper of American – Armenian descent to achieve international and national acclaim. As a result of his mountainous ancestral republic sound the rapper became the chosen to relay his cultures expression of Hip-Hop.

“Land Of The Free” is R-Means’ lyrical attack on America’s corrupt political system. The 8th and newest release from R-Mean’s 52-week-long series, “Mean Mondays” features Big K.R.I.T. The two linked in December when they were both a part of Sway’s epic end of the year DoomsDay Cypher. R-Mean was one of the chosen emcees and Big K.R.I.T. along with Pete Rock supplied the beats for the cypher.

The DoomsDay Cypher quickly became the highest rated show on Revolt TV within 6 months and showed viewers R-Mean’s lyrical prowess. His strong and loyal fan base never fails to show how his music touches their lives. <

“I think Supreme Aftermath is our best work yet, production-wise. It’s soulful music with a good message.”

This is nothing new to Boston’s venomous duo Blak Madeen – who dropped off the second release, “Guerrilla Soliders” from their forthcoming Supreme Aftermath LP. The song features Planet Asia on the introduction verse, with his usual wizard-like braggadocio and signature left coast sound. The production credit is given to The Arcitype, offering a brutal hospital trip. Get your insurance cards out.

If you’re just now hearing about Blak Madeen, it’s okay – we will let you slide this time. Consider taking a look at Islamic hatred in our country for a moment, and how we may not hear enough about the issue on this side of the fence. This is one of many reasons to explore their music. They fearlessly, and openly, discuss issues of this type, with pride and chins up. You will hear a lot this and related content throughout their forthcoming Supreme Aftermath LP, set for a January 15th release.

Just trust us here and save the date. You won’t regret the decision.

Enjoy the new single and check out the track list below! Peace and love:

Long-Island wordsmith, and United States Army Veteran Typ-Ill embodies the word honesty. And dignity for that matter. Why do we set it off with honesty and dignity? Because they seem to be rather distorted, lost characteristics in today’s rap scene.

Around this time last year we had the pleasure of seeing Typ-Ill alongside a few other performances here in Philadelphia. Without question he had the most captivating set, to the point that we almost forgot who the other opening acts where. The amount of confidence and the level of humility he showed, and continues to show, on face to face basis alone is admirable. So, if you get the chance to see him bless the stage, please do so.

Aesthetically speaking, Veterans Day (produced by Statik Selektah in its entirety) is for anyone who enjoys pure hip-hop, and will appease to any boom-bap junkies. Their chemistry goes beyond your typical e-mail to e-mail orchestrated records and is very much undeniable. Though his prior work is notable, this may easily be his most developed. Static plays a huge role in this development.

Perhaps a lot of listeners are not Veterans and cannot relate to serving in the Army – in combat at that. But after listening to this bumper to bumper you will feel like you were right there with Typ, whether directly or indirectly. In fact, if you are left without some form of goosebumps you may be inhumane. That’s how heartfelt and honest this record is. Enjoy the stream and purchase it if you are diggin’ it! Peace and love:

Irish stencil street artist ADW is an activist who creates politically charged pieces. His stencil is his weapon and his art qualifies him for the title of guerrilla artist. His illegal pieces end up hidden in street corners and often covered up because what he portrays troubles the higher powers. He is to be listed alongside Shepard Fairey in the America and Banksy in the UK as one of the rising “crisis” artists, according to French Blog Rue 89. The artist found the comparison very flattering. “I couldn’t believe that to be honest, it was a complete honnor,” he said.

I originally created the piece to reflect all ‘policing’ forces and the increasing militarisation of these forces employed to uphold the law. I guess the piece was born during the worldwide Occupy movements and the savage handling of the protesters. But the motivations dates back further for me and I often think about the unjust killing of Jean Charles de Menezes, who was mistaken by British police to be a terrorist and shot 8-times in the head at point blank range. The title ‘There is no justice, there’s just us’, was given to me by a friend fit perfectly. So, armed with a history of excessive police force, violence, cover-ups and corruption I set about creating the piece.
