If you thought you had seen the best of Lil Wayne, this track may just change your mind. Six years after landing online in an unfinished cut, “Cry Out (Amen)” has fallen before our eyes in CD quality.

Courtesy of Streetrunner, the newly mastered single takes us on a lyrical wave of deep situations and heartfelt emotions; flowing from start to finish. This is certainly a spin from the usual, and a moving reflection of both pain and natural talent. As Weezy tells it: “This rap is real.”

“I hope you ain’t too tired to cry, and I hope you know you ain’t never too live to die” opens the track, bringing pure feeling from the commencement. Lasting for at least 5 minutes, this song is certainly worth a listen. Dive into the scenes above.

Last month Billard‘s song “Can’t Get Enough,” caught fire. Today, he returns with a new one called “Amen” which is produced by duo FKi (known for crafting hits for Travis Porter, Tyga and Ludacris). It is handsomely crafted with bells ring, forming a melody that quickly makes it’s way into your ear drums, while Billard creates a sing-a-long yet catchy hook. Stream the song below.

Philadelphia, PA native Meek Mill, is much more than just “The Mixtape Champ Of The Streets.” He’s one of the current saviors of hardcore street rap music. Meek gained his street buzz with his series of mixtapes including the many editions of The Real Me, Flamers and Dreamchasers. He gained his popularity, though, with appearances off his record label’s 2011 debut collaboration album, Maybach Music Group – Self Made Vol. 1. The Maybach Music Group founder Rick Ross featured album singles, “Tupac Back” and “Ima Boss”, which established Meek Mill‘s name as hip hop’s next up and coming superstar from the east coast. This puts Meek alongside Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath Records signee Kendrick Lamar from the west coast. To keep the momentum going, Meek Mill kept the summer hot with the release of his album’s first and second singles, “Amen” and “Burn.” Now Meek returns with his third single titled, “Young & Gettin’ It”, from his debut upcoming album titled Dreams & Nightmares. The Jahlil Beatz produced track features Kirko Bangz, and is a braggadocious song about a young man that’s all about handling his business, while getting money to enjoy the finer things in life. So, the next time, you think about Philly, don’t think about “The City Of Brotherly Love”, “The Home Of Cheesesteaks” or “The Home Of Soul Legends.” Think about some of the dopest emcees (in the rap game), Beans (Beanie Sigel), Cass (Cassidy) and Meek (Meek Mill).

Meek Mill recently called up Q Deezy‘s show on Philadelphia’s Hot 107.9 to <del>debate</del> argue with Pastor Jomo Johnson over Johnson’s attempt to boycott Meek in Philly. The two instantly began a screaming match in which very little was accomplished. Meek demanded to know where Pastor Johnson was when he was handing out coats in Blumberg and giving out pairs of Reeboks to basketball players in Strawberry Mansion.

The pastor went on to advocate that Meek’s music is doing more harm than good, saying that it promotes violence and rape. He goes on to claim that you can “Google Meek Mill and rape and you’ll find the lyrics.” [Ed. note: A Google search for those lyrics turned up empty.] The pastor says that Meek’s songs, “Amen” in particular, are disrespectful to God.

Q Deezy pointed out that the pastor’s move feels like a publicity stunt, given the fact that he never attempted to reach out to Meek privately. Meek added that he should not be singled out given the fact that action movies promote far worse things than he raps about, and noted that “Eminem raps about suicide and killing his own mother.”

Listen to the heated audio below. Is the pastor in the right here? Sound off.
