A$AP Ferg isn’t playing this Summer at all. Having already delivers singles like “Wigs” and “Wam,”the Harlem star unveils the title track from his forthcoming album, Floor Seats. Check out his recent explanation of that title to Zane Lowe on Beats 1:

“It’s the floor seats to my life… A lot of people, they see artists and famous people sitting on the floor, but they don’t know what it’s like, they don’t know what the VIP access is like, and that’s what I’m giving people on this album, is the VIP access to my life.”

It looks like we’ll be seeing a new A$AP Ferg album soon.

Following his recent single “Pups” (featuring A$AP Rocky) and a few notable feature appearances, the Harlem star returns with a new drop titled “Wigs,” a twerk-ready affair that sees assistance from Miami’s own City Girls and fellow Harlemite ANTHA. Revealed via Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Ferg explains the collaboration:

“City Girls is definitely killing it right now, I’m a fan of them and what they’re doing. They locking it down for all of the females around the world, and then ANTHA is my female artist, she’s like the female me… As far as the song and the concept, man, I was thinking about Good Hair, the documentary with Chris Rock. At first I was thinking it was a silly idea to make a wig song, but then… what do girls do when they twerk? They twerk, they booties is in the air, and their hair dragging on the floor because they head down and they asses up. So, I was just like this is natural, this is what girls do, it’s wigs on the floor, and that’s what I came up with.”

UPDATE: Continuing the Dark Man X vibe, Rocky and Ferg head into a Tunnel-esque venue (?) for their latest visual, below. Directed by the A$AP collaborators themselves, alongside Shomi Patwary.

I love this. A$AP Mob and Harlem’s own Ferg and Rocky are back on wax for the hard-hitting track “Pups,” which takes from DMX’s classic single “Get At Me Dog” (a song that samples B.T. Express‘ “Everything Good to You”). The single will either appear on Ferg’s forthcoming EP Concrete Chandeliers and the highly-anticipated Cozy Tapes Vol. 3.
