Renzel drops a star-studded remix while he is in preparation for his ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me, set for release on March 17th. Earlier this week, Ross took to Instagram to officially drop his album art, that instantly hyped his die-hard followers. In other Ross news, the boss is scheduled to be the host of this year’s 2017 MTVU Woodie Awards held at SXSW a day before the release of his new album on March 16th.

Back It Up is for ladies in strip clubs, twerking on the gram  or just a feel good song to turn up. Saint Millie graces a flattering hook & verse making the song memorable and catchy with lines like “treat shorty like a mixtape”. Mack 11 adds his twist acknowledging himself as a rookie, yet giving the song a southern feel, stunting & saying no matter how fresh, shorty gon back it up because of his swag & flare.

During my first trip to Chicago, I had the opportunity to attend the listening party for Treated Crew’s White Gzus, at Complex 2010 Studios.  Much love to the Treated Crew for making me feel welcomed upon my arrival to the windy city!  If you didn’t know, Treated Crew is a collective of visionaries from G.O.O.D. Music’s Holt to Million $ Mano (Kanye West’s DJ), Mic Terror, producers Nez & Rio (Schoolboy Q) and Thelonious Martin (Action Bronson).  Shout-outs to Keena of Entervision Artists for the introduction!

It is said that White Gzus was initially a side project for Chicago rappers, Gzus Piece and Blanco Caine.  But I like where they’re going in their journey.  In the third volume of their Stackin N Mackin series, they had production from Justice League, 808 Mafia, and Metro Boomin, just to name a few.  Enjoy!

Oakland native G-Eazy just dropped a handful of new songs, one of them being a new Southside of 808 Mafia-produced track titled, You Got Me. The bass heavy cut, captures G-Eazy in his most arrogant, yet humorous state as he spits about people that got him f***** up. The catchy track, though presumably a throwaway, has the potential to gain some traction and become a club banger. These released should hold fans over as G-Eazy finishes up a follow up to his These Things Happen project. Atlanta native Reese drops “JUMP OFF A BUILDING” EP, entirely produced by 808 Mafia and presented by HUF. The project gives off a turnt up skateboarding vibe, and has guest appearances from Kari Faux, Rich Homie Quan, OG Maco, Key!, and California punk band TrashTalk.

Reese was an original member of Two-9, but has since left the group to focus on his career, and continues to succeed as a solo artist.
