The visual for Childish Gambino‘s “Sweatpants” as well as a Deep Web Tour blog were released yesterday. However, the artist was not pleased the final versions of either project. As a result, Gambino is now at wit’s end with his label, Glassnote. He tweeted that the video and blog “wasn’t handled correctly” and that the label has reneged on many promises over the course of his tenure with the label.
The former Community star went on to say he is “done” with Glassnote and that he wants labels such as Def Jam and Atlantic to buy him out of his current contract. A lot of labels began to show interest in Gambino following the first week sales of Because the Internet. Although he is not a huge fan of record labels, he states that he refuses to have “another project go through this.” Check out the series of tweets below.
