J. Cole brings a powerful message to life in his new video for “Crooked Smile.” Cole sheds light on the war on drugs that continues to plague the nation, and he dedicated the video to Aiyana Stanley-Jones, the 7 year-old girl who died during a drug raid in Detroit. Cole plays a drug dealer in the video who finds himself on the wrong side of the law when his home is raided after a get together for his sister’s birthday. His sister happened to be spending the night with her big-brother, and ends up losing her life during the raid. The video is very compelling, and Cole did a great job of bringing to life this terrible issue. Check it out below.
