A$AP Ferg and A$AP Marty give zero you know what’s on “I Don’t Care.” Very reminiscent of early 2000’s 50 Cent, (confirmed by all the followers on Soundcloud and Ferg’s personal Twitter) “I Don’t Care” is rugged street anecdote filled with lyrical brashness and a sonic attitude for which only the Mob possesses. The hook “I don’t care who shot you/I don’t care who popped you/I don’t care who robbed you/silly ni**a I’m not you,” sums up the overtly harsh message they’re sending to the opposition and solidifies the catchy tone of the words to memory. Produced by AraabMuzik (wishing him a speedy recover) and having his signature drum patterns that embody New York to the utmost, IDC is an aggressively notable record that let’s the streets know that Ferg and Co. remain just as hardcore as ever. The record’s emotion takes us back to the emergence of A$AP Mob and what they stood for; A rowdy pack of counter-cultureal creatives who’s take on music, fashion, etc. always went against the grain and in so doing, created new waves of steez, originality, and most importantly authenticity. That’s what we like best about Rocky, Ferg, Nast, and the rest of the gang; pure originality. With Ferg’s “New Level” (w/ Future) in major rotation and Marty’s addition to the squad, A$AP is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down and even if the blog world thought otherwise, they most assuredly would not care.
