Hit-Boy‘s exuberant horns have been making their way around the rap world rather excitedly. There’s just something about the sheer triumph embedded in the instrumental that beckons rappers to take a shot, whether their victory laps are minor or major. Nitty Scott, MC. is the latest to step up to plate and unsurprisingly, she hits a home run. Though she doesn’t stick to the celebratory narrative of the original as closely as A$AP Ferg did in his freestyle, she makes up for it with the confidence of her rhymes. Nitty normally comes across as humble, but here she openly boasts. Perhaps that’s how she’s celebrating: she’s already shown that she can rap through her hard work over the past 3 years, so now it’s time to flex. Listen below.
