Thanks to the efforts of artists like Joey Bada$$ and Bishop Nehru, the ’90s sound is alive and well, especially among younger rappers. With the release of his debut project, Memoirs & the ’90s, Anti-Lilly also falls into this category. The Houston rapper has the classic laid-back H-Town delivery, but his material is far from candy paint and boppers. Memoirs is 15-tracks of introspection and self-questioning.
