Vic Mensa has been feeding us scraps all summer, but he’s now ready to invite us to the table. His new album INNANETAPE features production from Hit-Boy, Christian Rich, Boi-1da, Michael Uzowuru and more. There are also guest verses from his fellow Save Money affiliate Chance the Rapper, along with rhymes from Kenna, Rockie Fresh and more.
We can’t speak on the quality of the tape yet because we just clicked the download link ourselves, but Vic has genuinely impressed us so far: those “scraps” we mentioned were quite delectable. So join us and take the plunge. You can download the album here. For a little bit of background on Vic, read our interview with him.

[…] Vic Mensa dropped by Sway In The Morning recently to do a little #INNANETAPE promo. Probably in honor of his recent tour stint with J. Cole, Sway threw Vic the beat for one of Cole’s original noise-makers, back before Sideline Story dropped, “Who Dat.” Young Net absolutely nails the verse, throwing out a typically schizo-tempo’d verse that starts out with a beginning we’ve heard a million times before–our hero goes to the shelf, and grabs his gun. Vic then cuts this narrative short though, by having himself trip over an extension cord and bust his head open. The rest of the verse is full of memorable moments too, among them is “Cooking crack sentences, my shit to old to gentri-fix.” After his rapid-pace written is over, Vic lets of a disjointed freestyle and then without warning calls it quits.
