“This was shot for a piece on Ad-Rock’s break into the world of acting for the New York Times. My editor wanted me to shoot him in a playground to play on the fact that he is notoriously kid-less yet plays a hipster dad in “While We’re Young.” I was nervous that we were going to get in trouble with the parents the park since there are many signs you need to be accompanied by kids to be in the gated area, but it seemed like all the moms knew who he was and no one said a thing as Adam slid down the slides, climbed the Jungle Jim or climbed up all the ladders with all of their kids.”
