Chris McPherson still prefers to develop his pictures himself today. McPherson, whose work often shades toward dark, intimate portraits, says he likes to think of his shoots as long conversations, and that engaging his subjects Is a key to success. “I am looking for those moments,” he says of establishing that connection. “I shoot during that.’
