In 2019, we show a flurry of young stars erupted onto the display from both the R&B and hip-hop spheres. In 2019, we showed the growth of Megan Thee Stallion, YBN Cordae, Summer Walker, and Roddy Ricch, and more stars who topped the chart. This year, we expect more as Pandemic problems ease out. We will see the rise of many young talents or say a new batch of artists who will scale up the music level and become a superstar of 2020-21. Calvin Ross, new rising star in music, is a master in R&B; he is different from new talent which is running in the market. He is coming through with his latest remix to Chris Brown’s Deuces hoping to gain momentum and expand his fan base.
Calvin Ross is an urban R&B singer and producer hailing from Tennessee. He started his career in music at 17. Started his own set up with friends where Calvin Ross used to make beats on Fruity Loops. In no time he got the mastery of how to create his music and within a few months he started remixing songs on his own to recordings. Calvin was always selective with his music; he didn’t produce songs until he felt like yes it would work in the market. He knows the taste of the 21st century, so Calvin always wanted a good start as he believes the first impression makes a substantial impact on an excellent career in the music industry.
Winning a showcase at P. Diddy’s studio boosted his confidence at Daddy’s House. After that Calvin Ross got to meet A&R for Def Jam Recordings where he was further convinced of his talents. After this meeting, he started to continue his music career more seriously and has since soared to new heights in a short time. Then on to win the “Bobby Womack R&B Artist it the Year” SCM Award in 2019. Calvin Ross lives in Atlanta and focuses mainly on Urban R&B, taking inspiration from artists like Michael Jackson, Usher, Ginuwine, and R. Kelly. So far, he has opened for Avant, Urban Mystic, YFN Lucci, Yung Bleu, and Snootie Wild, and he is always chasing his dreams of having his music reach No. 1 on Billboard in 2020-21.
Calvin likes the thought of love and long lasting relationships. Also admitting that he isn’t the best boyfriend at times as well, stating. ”When I love I love hard. Unfortunately I’ve had a few relationships where my partner didn’t think the same. I wrote this song to express the feelings I have toward being in a relationship. Not saying I’m perfect myself cause I am far from it! But right now at this moment in my life, I’m on something new. And me finding something new is moreso aimed at me finding something better to occupy my time. Something that can help me grow and become a better me. Right now music seems to be the best outlet.”
