Dez Hall was born and raised in the East New York neighborhood in Brooklyn. He moved to Atlanta in the 6th grade when his dad’s job, Delta Airlines, transferred him in 2005. Hall spent the majority of his adolescent years in the A. Atlanta has always felt like his 1st home, it’s just as important as New York is to him.
“If it wasn’t for this music, I’d probably be dead” is a Meek Mill quote he held on to his whole life. His love for music descends from his childhood. It is his getaway from the everyday struggle of the big city. After his high school graduation in 2010, Hall’s best friend picked up the craft of self-engineering. He would record himself by plugging cell phone headphones into a computer jack and record his songs with adobe version 3. That hustle and drive motivated Dez to pursue rap and self-engineer as well. Dez was then mentored by his cousin and reggae artist, “XX3EME” that summer
“My friend Deandre sparked my interest to start rapping and doing music,” he states. “But XX3EME is the one responsible for turning me into the artist I am today. He’s the reason I even became confident in myself.”
Dez is currently preparing to release his first single, “Thinking Of You” which he believes reveals his heart and intentions about a very personal and real-life situation. Inspired by Lil Wayne, Drake, Meek Mill, and K Camp, he expels his inner fears on the track. He’s excited to tell his story, and hopefully, people can relate to his experiences and motivate them to be better people. He wants people to use his music as an outlet. Dez and his brother Jovah recently started a label called RichlyfeMusicGroup and signed three artists, Conny Cash, Leekio & Jay Skooneveli.
With years of shadowing and learning the industry, Dez Hall is ready to reveal his attention-grabbing, head bobbing, gift with the world. It’s all about longevity with a long-lasting career for the young entrepreneur, and not just about following trends. He plans on scouting and signing new hot artists in the near future. In 5 years, he has his sights on expanding his reach not only in music but in real estate, investing and opening his own restaurant. Standing on his morals, character, and persona, Dez is creating an unthreaded lane for himself and his entire team.
