American business owners are doing great things across the country, building startups in industries from pizza parlors to party boats to food tours. Motivational speaker Mike Luzio believes it’s essential to showcase these voices to motivate every person in the country to live their dreams and pursue their entrepreneurial passions. He is an entrepreneur and salesman at heart. He started his first company Industry Retail Group (IRG) with only $15,000 and sold it in 2016 for $50 million. He knows how beneficial starting your own business can be in the long run. Now, he owns a management consulting company called The LVE Group that helps entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and succeed.
“When I started The LVE Group in 2016, I got to meet tons of brilliant people starting their business and living life on their terms,” said Luzio. “That’s how I got the idea for “52 American Success Stories.” ’52 American Success Stories’ is a YouTube series that Luzio created in 2017. He now shares the interviews on his Instagram, where he has over 81k followers. Every week for a year, he sat down to talk to 52 special people handpicked by him.”I sat down with 52 amazing, unbelievable people, including entrepreneurs, innovators, and service people,” said Luzio. “I wanted to tell their stories because they inspired me, and I knew they would inspire other people as well.”
In the process of interviewing these successful people, Luzio has found some patterns that can help budding entrepreneurs thrive. “One of the interviews that sticks out to me is the one with the brothers from Sunniva Coffee. One of the founders, Kevin Plank, said, ‘Be naive enough to not know what you cannot accomplish.’ I think this means having so much drive that you’re sometimes unrealistic to the outside world. If you stop whenever something seems hard, it’ll be difficult to keep going.” Throughout his interviews, Mike Luzio has also seen how important it is to be all in with your business. “You have to be 100% passionate about what you’re doing,” Luzio said. “You have to keep going, and sometimes that means you can’t take a day off. You need to be all in.”
“The most important part of entrepreneurship is building the life you want,” said Luzio. “You need to know your passion and how it ignites you. If you’re not excited about your business, no one else will be, either.”
Mike Luzio’s ’52 American Success Stories’ acts as a masterclass in entrepreneurship and working hard. If you’re willing to take the time to listen to these inspirational people, you might just get motivated to start a business yourself.
