He started writing rhymes at 9 years old, recording his first song at 11 ironically titled “Kobes”. He always kept a notebook on hand to write rhymes rather it was an exciting moment or bad one.
As Doe Savage grew older without his father, his lack of presence not only affected him emotionally but weighed on his character & everyday actions. It didn’t take long before he was old enough to hear the street’s war stories, praise, love & respect his father had. He wanted to immulate the same path of life. His mother was always working extra hard overtime to pay the bills as a single mom so she barely knew the activities he played part in . Choosing the streets at 15, he officially “jumped off the porch” running the streets often becoming absent from school. His aspirations for basketball suddenly came to an end, choosing the other side of opportunity where he didn’t have to be six foot tall to play. Through trial and tribulation music is what he could always fall back on for his sanity. Being in the streets taught him valuable lessons & built his impeccable character.
RESPECT.: A city without Kobe, how will Los Angeles look when things get back to normal?
Doe Savage: It won’t be the same, I feel like there was a shift of energy when he passed, just like with Nipsey. With all he did for La and all the lives he inspired and touched , it’s definitely saddening, like who didn’t grow up shooting a ball of trash into the can yelling “Kobe” !
Respect. is everything. Rich ,poor, black or white you can’t buy respect. It’s for the real only . If you don’t take care of your kids , family and handle your business as a Man you don’t deserve it. Respect. is Power , that power brings honor and so on.
