Immigrating to New York City from the Dominican Republic at the age of 10, Ricky Ricardo’s music combines vibrant Dominican sounds with an irreplaceable Empire State of mind attitude. His debut single ESA NEGRA marries latino trap and reggaeton over a shimmering synth beat for an anthemtic summer hit.
Directed by LA-based director Mike Seager with animations from Dog CEO (whose credits include Xxxtentacion, Future and Halsey), the accompanying music video for ESA NEGRA signals Ricky’s uplifting positive spirit and sound. In it we see the young artist explore the streets of Los Angeles as dystopic, multi-colored explosions drip from his skin and surroundings.
With more music dropping this summer, Ricky Ricardo is set to refresh the latino trap landscape with his irreplaceable sound and energy.
