Heavyweight Hank was naturally drawn to rapping and would freestyle as a kid. He would started taking it seriously growing skills at age 14.
He always played sports as kid and wanted to go to the NFL but his love for music make him pursue passion to pursue full time. I felt like doing music was helping me more than playing sports at the time.
Bryan “Baby” Williams from Cash Money Records reached out to Hank after hearing a one of his songs. He reached out to him even calling his parole officer at the time and got the travel pass to go to Beverly Hills California to have a meeting with the label.
Influenced by Boosie Badazz, Ice Cube, DMX, Fat Joe, he is trying to bring real rap back but have the modern swag and vibes. Differentiating himself from the ghetto stories of the projects, Heavyweight Hank keeps his story authentic inside and outside the ghetto maintaining credibility and being well respected.
