dndSection
Following the success of his Love Lies Bleeding EP, dndSection returns to the music scene with a new single titled “Darling“. As the summer season is rapidly approaching, this release is the perfect summer bop to jam to, with its infectious vibe. The Atlanta based Nigerian emcee reminds listeners that his talent is like no other artist in the game.
Featuring Ivorian-American afro-pop artist Chrystel who was most recently acknowledged for her participation on Dreamville’s ROTD3 album, Darling is by far DndSection’s best material to date. Chrystel who also appears on Rema’s most recent single “Beamer, appears on the hook in a melodically pleasing way. Adding her was pure genius as her lyrical flows are a direct compliment to the Atl native’s raw vocals.
Released as the first single from his upcoming project, Section is showcasing a more mature and developed sound on this release. When asked what Darling was about, the rising rapper responded “Darling is about trust and going with your emotions. After my seven show tour in Lagos this past December, I wanted to bring that vibe stateside with this new single. I’m always inspired from being at home and revisiting my culture. I get in a completely different creative space which is how Darling was made. You can still feel my energy from Lagos in December on this record”.
Together, the two Atlanta based artists offer listeners a look into Atlanta’s burgeoning diaspora community through melodic cadences and uplifting lyrics. Produced by Multi-Platinum producer/engineer, AJ Ruined My Record, J Scalez, and 88jay, dndSection has a hit on his hands!
