Chicago has been known to foster some of, if not the, best Hip-Hop talent in the world. From legends such as Kanye West, Common, Twista, and more down to today’s millennial stars like Chance The Rapper, G-Herbo, Lil Durk and countless others.
A newcomer by name but someone who has been putting in work for years, Birdd Luciano, released his latest LP ‘Ghetto Blessings’ which is full of “Trapsoul” as he calls it. It’s a project that is able to perfectly balance the hardships that many people living in Chicago go through while providing narrative tales of how to not just endure the pain but thrive from it.
Recently, Luciano dropped the video for one of the songs on the LP titled “Toxic Love”.
Days before the release of “Toxic Love” I was able to interview Luciano on Instagram Live. He spoke openly about using this time to develop into a better writer, how important it is to spend time with family, what creatively he’s been working on during quarantine, and what the next phase of his career looks like for him.
