Marty Mula is a 22 year old American rapper and songwriter from London, UK. He makes music as a hobby, one of his daily routines is he treats it like a job cause it’s more like something he has to do and not just do it just to do it.
RESPECT.: Who are some of your biggest influences in your industry?
MM: Some of my biggest influences in my industry is Lil Wayne. I just feel like he was one of those rappers who came with it everytime and that’s what made him him. It’s important to have swag in your flow when you rap and not just that but also what you’re talking about when rapping with your rhyme scenes. Anybody can spit a rhyme but not everybody has flow and to me having a flow is important and that’s who, lowkey, influenced to me in the industry. Another one I’m highly influenced by is Young Thug. I just feel like he created a whole different wave for artists to become themselves and not care what anybody thinks. Everybody hated on him at one point of time but now everybody loves him now cause he never cared for what anybody thinks. He was always him. And that’s what influenced me to just be me myself as an artist.
RESPECT.: What would you consider your biggest accomplishment thus far in your career?
MM: One of my biggest accomplishments by far in my career would be how far I overcame and made it until this day because I came from nothing so for a person like me to make it this far in my career means everything. If I can make it this far anybody can do it just as long as you push yourself to your everyday goal and never give up. It’s always goinh be bumpy roads but as long as you’re focused and don’t get carried away by distractions you gone be straight.
RESPECT.: What legacy would you like to leave behind for yourself?
MM: For everybody to remember my name and me as a person and artist as long as people know the all the obstacles and impact I made and the history behind it. That’s fine with me because I feel like I’m somebody very important and special. I’m just one of those people you can’t over look.
