D.C. based music artist, Kareeme Phillip also known as Trini MMF released his new latest single, “Trap Junkies” feat. Boosie Badazz.
Hailing from Trinidad and moving to Washington D.C. at a young age, Trini MMF was raised in the Foster Care system. In and out of group homes, he had to start hustling to provide for himself.
After the traumatic kidnapping and murder of his father, Trini MMF had alot of pent up anger and pain. “I made certain decisions thinking it would help the pain but instead it just made things worse,” says Trini MMF.
He had the opportunity to collaborate with his long time inspiration and role model Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz. The Valley Visions and Respecttheshoota brought the idea of Trini’s earliest memories.
“Music became therapy for all of that. It was my way of overcoming demons and nightmares I created,” Trini MMF said. The obstacles he faced growing up are reflected in his music as is the case for his newest single featuring Boosie Badazz called, “Trap Junkies”.
