New Orleans’ own Lil Moe is a rising voice in the scene with a lot on his mind and a gift for putting those thoughts on the page. With a recent trio of single releases now receiving more shine, he’s ready to make his name even more known in 2020.
Moe kicked things off in late 2019 with a pair of back-to-back tracks, “I Know” and “Black,” that featured the likes of G-Eazy and Blu, respectively, and showcased different sides of his approach. On “I Know,” Moe collaborates with G-Eazy over the brassy and upbeat production supplied by Darias Lanham and David D’Angelo. And while there’s a similar level of tenacity there on “Black,” that feeling is squarely aimed at society and America in general, with Blu and Moe lyrically firing rounds at their oppressors.
As for the third single, it’s the more recently released “Out My Mind” produced by Aaron Gershon which dropped this past Feb. 21. The track features the burgeoning rapper providing some insight into his mindset as an artist and as a young man, both of which offer a heavy dose of no-f*cks-given attitude and swagger.
All three tracks are available now through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms, and can be streamed right here, courtesy of RESPECT. These songs are not associated with any larger body of work, but stay tuned for more content from the NOLA-based emcee.
