Big MO has been having his “heart broken,” and so for an exchange, he puts it in his record that features Ye Ali. With this record, we can hear the artistry and how he feels throughout the track. We have caught up with the “Broken” artist and talk about how he started making the track, will there be any upcoming music in the works and more.
RESPECT.: With the single, “Broken,” featuring Ye Ali, how was it like working with Ye while making this record?
It was really cool. I was actually in Toronto when he had sent his verse back to me. Heard it the first time and told him it was fire. I knew I had to hold on to it for a while and drop it when the time was right, despite how many times fans pushed for me to release it haha.
RESPECT.: For the fans, who haven’t heard of you, tell us what the song is about?
The song is about how it was like having someone I cared for walk out of my life, and the scars I had to deal with because of that. I was in a really bad place in my life emotionally at the time.
RESPECT.: What are some things to get over a heartbreak?
I would say to just occupy yourself with something that distracts you from your thoughts and overthinking, because that’s a dangerous place to be when you are heartbroken.
RESPECT.: Tell us how you came up with your artist name BIG MO?
It’s what people called me growing up so I went with it as my artist name
RESPECT.: When can we expect a project from you?
Right now I am mostly just focusing on releasing singles. But who knows. I’m very unpredictable, so I might wake up tomorrow and decide to drop a project
