RESPECT.: Where you from?
Rappa: I’m from Watts, California.
RESPECT.: Who are your musical inspiration?
Rappa: My musical inspirations would be Wayne, Juvie, Mannie Fresh, Snoop, Scott Stortch, Battlecat, Official, Larry Jayy, Radio Aktive, Bandz ect.
RESPECT.: How did you first get introduced to hip-hop?
Rappa: I would watch MTV & BET at my cousins crib cuz they had cable hahaha.
RESPECT.: You’ve worked with 03 Greedo on previous records, what is the relationship between you two and what’s y’all plan to put on for Watts?
Rappa: 03 Greedo aka Moofasa hahaha that’s my boy. We were always in the studio in Watts called “ Tha Kitchen”. We would work late nights and early mornings. Along with a close friend of mines Whokid Woody. I would go home shower, come back, and keep working. He has always been a prolific individual when it came to music. He always believed in his craft and so did I. That’s why we would invest all of that time in the studio. As for the community of Watts a lot will be given back. I’m plan on creating after school programs for the youth which will lead them to a brighter future and increase the success rate.
RESPECT.: What projects have you released currently?
Rappa: 2020 so far I’ve released one collab song with Santana818 called “Profit”. It’s our first single for one of many collaboration projects that I’m working on this year.
RESPECT.: Where do you see yourself in 5 years with the music?
Rappa: 5 years from now I see myself being on the billboard top 5. Filling the number one, 3, and 5 spot.
RESPECT.: Any collaborations that need to happen?
Rappa: A whole tape with Sada Baby fasho, he took me to my first Rolling Loud festival ever and was on stage with the Big Squad. A whole tape with G Perico who is another real on. YG is another artist I would want to do a whole tape with.
RESPECT.: What does it mean to “Represent the West”?
Rappa.: What that means to me is put your best work and make sure it makes people a certain type of way. Make classics and hits that can be on repeat all day and not get tired. Put your people’s that’s been down since you first met them working as hard as you in music on, and never hate.
RESPECT.: What upcoming project do you have for 2020?
Rappa: I already have a whole project completed with Westside Mcfly and we have some hitters on there.
