RESPECT.: Where are you from?
WADE08: Born in Hayward California. I spent majority of up youth in Oakland, San Francisco, and Berkeley if I wasn’t in Hayward.
RESPECT.: How long have you been pursuing music as passion?
WADE08: I started producing in 2008 and that’s what later led me to go by WADE08.
RESPECT.: What are you aiming to contribute to the game?
WADE08: Being able to look back at my discography and say I showed the world the different facets of my production is one thing I will contribute to the game because I pull from various genres and time periods of music and artists . It all makes me the producer I am today . When it comes to my lyricism and artistry, I wanna give the game myself, as I grow with my music . Being able to share the knowledge I’ve gained, the ideologies I stand on, my experiences through life, and so much more. Being able to express that through music that feels good and or speaks volume is a a solid impact if you ask me.
RESPECT.: What keeps you inspired?
WADE08: What keeps me goin is music whether it’s past or present. That’s number 1. The second is just living life. I can’t create if I don’t got nothing to recall on or nothing to pull from in my everyday feel me. Also animes
RESPECT.: What separates you from your peers?
WADE08: What separates me specifically from my rapping peers is that I love anime and they half ass like it plus they trippin for watching dub. But outside of that ,producing and engineering a lot of my records is one I can think of.
RESPECT.: You recently released the Luv Files in February and a few other projects, how is your creative process? What keeps you in creative mode?
WADE08: Luv Files was inspired by me reflecting on my love life along with principles I’ve found to be universal, common, or false in what we deal with when it comes to the love. Speaking from different perspectives on what love can be, can do, and how it can make one feel was the thoughts that came to mind when making this lil passionate project.
RESPECT.: What can an upcoming artist do keep ensure he has a long and steady career?
WADE08: An upcoming artist should stay true to they sound along with maintain oversight over they image/sound. I just got started but staying true to my gut done came to be the right move.
RESPECT.: Who would you like to work with in the feature?
RESPECT.: Any expected projects or releases for 2020?
WADE08: Mixtapes, streetwear, and visuals and more.
RESPECT.: What does RESPECT. mean to you?
WADE08: Respect when it comes to the predecessors means to know your roots and appreciate the blueprint and feats that were done before, in order for us artists to be where we are now. Respect when it comes to one’s self is remaining genuine to what is your organic/natural sound and image (if that matters to you), along with living a balance life as an artist and a being. Your longevity will thank you.
