We recently had a conversation with Most Certainly. He is a rising artist that is coming out of Orange, California. In the conversation, we get to know him and get an understanding of his latest record. Check out the talk below!
RESPECT.: How did you get your music heard over here in Atlanta?
I’ve been doing music for a minute so I guess I just have the talent to get it over there.
RESPECT.: When did this journey begin?
Around 14. I was supposed to be a chef but I had a friend that just pulled me into the studio. I guess my voice was a unique sound.
RESPECT.: What’s the best way to describe your music?
I would say my life in music but it can also go for everybody’s life.
RESPECT.: You recently dropped Champion. What’s the story behind it?
My struggle as far as having a lot of downfalls and still not quitting and remaining a humble champion.
RESPECT.: Is it ever difficult for you to stay humble?
Yes, it most certainly is. I am not a social media person and I noticed there’s a lot of fake stuff on the internet. Sometimes it makes me want to step out of my shell and speak on it.
RESPECT.: Do you ever feel like it’s difficult for you to fit in with others?
Yes, because I am ahead of my time.
RESPECT.: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received and who are you inspired by musically?
Never give up and I am inspired by Gang Starr. I listen to a lot of Wiz’s old stuff as well. I’m very picky and I like to listen a lot of old school stuff.
RESPECT.: After champions what’s next for you?
I have a project in the works with a big producer in Chief Keef’s camp so there is a lot in the works.
RESPECT.: How’d that link up happen?
I was networking and hit up bro and it turned into an awesome friendship.
RESPECT.: Is there anything you are super proud of so far?
Yes, I have a full project with Zaytoven im sitting on. That was actually one of the things that I manifested this year.
RESPECT.: How do you go about manifesting?
When I was younger and Zaytoven was doing stuff with Gucci they would tell me to get a beat from Zaytoven you would have to be a millionaire or related to him. I put it out there that I am going to get a beat from him. Fast forward to now I have beats from him.
RESPECT.: Is there anything else you want to manifest outside of working with different producers?
I just want to work with society now. Do shows and create opportunities.
RESPECT.: How would you like the remainder of 2020 to turn out?
Everybody hearing my music and knowing who I am.
