North Carolina rapper Big Floss was once more interested in sports than he was in music. He was a very talented athlete growing up with plans to play professional ball. He played basketball in high school with his sights set on the NBA and music would take a back seat to the sport. Floss began uploading music to MySpace in middle school, but never made it a priority until life took a wild turn and he was forced to make a decision.
This transition brought him back to music thus becoming a priority. Floss has been in the studio for the better part of the last year recording his debut album, Real Dog which released on February 25. His influences are Gucci Mane and 50 Cent, not only because of their sonic value, but also because they are a product of the streets and were able to change their lives for the better by becoming entrepreneurs and music moguls. In August of 2019, Floss would make another decision that would change his life forever.
He flew to LA to further his music career and create music that would eventually get him recognized by local artists. While in LA, he would link up with SK8 of Taylor Gang on a collab dubbed “Bag Don’t Sleep” making it the only feature on the album. The 11-track album is jam packed with in your face lyrics and a real heavy presence of 808 knocking bass for your speaker. Keep an eye out for Big Floss who plans to go on tour sometime in 2020.
