Growing up in the South and relocating to Brooklyn, NY, Wiranda Warie (Dallas) and Q. Elle (Atlanta) have a lot to be proud of yet very much to accomplish. This forthcoming weekend they share Candy Paint, not only a party but an ode to the southern culture that raised them. Both having experience in event coordination, the two decided to tag everyone with Southern upbringings in New York’s underground party scene.
Tennessee-native DJ Mike Nasty will be providing the sounds alongside Texas-natives VivaLaTina and Brndn Blue. Su$hi Ceej from ATL’s beloved Two-9 will also be giving a special DJ set; with more Atlanta energy from the emcee for the day, singer-songwriter Kayla Steen. Guests will be able to get custom airbrush clothing as well as tooth gems; while guys prepare to catch girls reminiscing on the cultural importance of the twerk. The event will be located at Cafe Erzulie on 864 Broadway BK, NY 11206 on September 8th. Peep the Bknott-directed trailer below.
