New York-based artist Avgust Reign is on her own path while leading the way with her own unique blend of alternative R&B. The EP is inspired by my life during my late teens (2016-2018) and all of the things I want too. Everything involving boys, fake friends, anxiety, depression, etc. It’s called Delusions of Grandeur because I feel like everyone goes through that at some point in their lives. Especially their late teens. I grew up in a small town where people aren’t really that creative so I always had dreams of getting out and doing big things. I really wanted to make music that I felt spoke the most truly to who I was, so in the future I can make music about who I am now. The overall tone of the EP is moody and a little dark but there are some lighter tracks like Baldwin Hills that give it some dimension.
