Jace released a new project titled #FreeJace back in May. With its seven tracks and collabs with some of the biggest producers in the game it is difficult to make a decision what our favorite track is. As he is preparing to release his next project we are able to catch up with him and ask him a few questions. Check it out below!
RESPECT.: What is N2B?
Thats going to be the debut album. The release date was pushed back but it is still on the way.
RESPECT.:What record label are you signed to?
RESPECT.: I’m with the Eardrummers.
RESPECT.: #FreeJace, was that hard for you to release since it was free?
No, I want to keep my fan base interested and intrigued while I get things out the way. I feel like they deserved new music from me.
RESPECT.: I checked out your “Metro Intro.” It is fire!
Thank you. I’ve known Metro for awhile. We actually made that song two years ago. We did that awhile back when he played a lot of beats for me. I knew I needed it.
RESPECT.: You worked with many producers on this project. TrapMoneyBenny, Supah Mario, Kenny Beats. Which one was the most important to get?
There wasn’t a producer more important than the other. I didn’t want to play favorites on this project but I’ve never done anything with Kenny Beats. I was really looking forward to that. Everyone I worked with on this project I have a close relationship with them.
RESPECT.: I wanted to ask you about GLL with Slim Jxmii. What does that sound for by the way?
Honestly, it doesn’t mean anything. A lot of the songs don’t have actual names. It was just my way of identifying them. We were naming the tracks by the way they sounded.
RESPECT.: Why did you decide to do a track with KEY! and Slim?
We all have a great work relationship. We are also close friends. In LA Key just stopped by and hopped on it.
RESPECT.: What is your meaning behind #FreeJace?
I feel like I hold a lot of music. It was me letting myself go and just releasing the music. Let it free and try not to be too particular about everything.
RESPECT.:What can people look forward to on N2B?
I am going to have more time to create this. Everything Free Jace was it is going to be 10 times better.
