Behind every great public figure there is a powerful bodyguard making sure things run smoothly! We would like to introduce you to Jizzy Mack, the personal bodyguard of Floyd Mayweather! Check out our interview with him below.
RESPECT.: When was the moment you realized I have to become a bodyguard!
I realized when I was 17 years old, when I was fighting for my life, I was hungry, I had nothing to go on to, I was living in a one-bedroom studio apartment, I had nothing going for myself, I just never wanted to be that guy that other people come to me and booing me, I always wanted to be a fighter and to become somebody that people look out to protect people.
RESPECT.: What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve reached since you began this journey?
I accomplished being self-made. it was the biggest thing I could do for myself even tho I came from a wealthy family until my father left us. I basically had to fight for my life to get to where I wanna be. being self-made was the only thing I always wanted to do. I became a partner of the limitless nutrition company to reach out and help other people. Having a job with Floyd opened up so many doors and opportunities and I’m just grateful for having all that. With the blessing of Lord Jesus, because without lord, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.
RESPECT.: What is it like working with Floyd and being with his team?
What an unbelievable journey, it was always my dream to work for the biggest athletes in the world, ever since I was a kid. I used to watch Floyd Mayweather on tv or the internet, it was always my passion to work for this guy. I learned a lot from this guy, I learned how to be patient, the number one thing I never had was patient. Floyd used to tell me all the time be patient, everything comes in time. he took me all around the world and he treated me like family. He has always been there for me since day one, he showed me so many things I never have seen in my life. I would never forget him and the things that he did for me and appreciate him since day one.
RESPECT.: Before being a bodyguard, what career plan did you have?
Before being Floyd’s bodyguard, I went to college, I finished 4 years, and went to medical school in Poland and graduated in 2009. Since my whole family was in the medical field I always wanted to be a doctor and ended up becoming a dentist until 2011 when I came back to the states to continue following my dreams.
RESPECT.: What is your favorite quote? A quote that keeps you head strong?
“Some people will pretend to care just so they can get a better seat to watch you struggle, not every helping hand, is there to help” I love this quote because it makes me stronger and gives me so much hope and to not fall in the wrong hands.
RESPECT.: Outside of the money team what projects are you affiliated with and why?
I’m a co-owner with my guy Jazz of a company called The Limitless which is a marketing brand. Under the umbrella, we have skin care products, headphones, we have a nutrition brand, which was always my dream to help people to have a healthier lifestyle and take care of the body.
RESPECT.: What is it about sports that keeps you close to it?
As I was a kid, I started learning how to box, grapple, and do jujitsu. I was using mix martial arts. it was the only thing in my head to keep me, my family and loved ones safe or someone that I work for. it lets people know that I’m well trained. I don’t wanna hurt anybody but if you cross the line, I can show you what my skills are all about.
RESPECT.: If you could create the next biggest thing what would it be?
I’m so blessed to be around Floyd and I have seen so many things, and unfortunately, I feel like nowadays in our generation people forget who they really are inside. If I can create something that can make us united together as a country because I feel like our country is so divided and no one respects each other. if I could get to that level and show people that we are stronger together than apart. As a team, we are always going to win. there’s a bigger enemy out there and we can fight them together.
