Jay-Z has made a breakthrough with a remarkable milestone in hip-hop history — officially being named as hip-hop’s first billionaire.
The Brooklyn native and rapper has an extensive portfolio that ranges from wine and spirits, his music catalog, streaming services, a $70 million investment take in Uber, art, real estate, his Roc Nation management company owner and fashion.
All of that has helped him to become the first billionaire rapper, according to Forbes.
According to Forbes, the rapper “has accumulated a fortune that conservatively totals $1 billion, making him one of only a handful of entertainers to become a billionaire — and the first hip-hop artist to do so.”
