Taylor Bennett has released the 3rd project in his series of EPs. The American Reject follows the first two pieces in the series, “Restoration of An American Idol” and “Be Yourself” respectively. Bennett tends to be associated with his older brother, Chance the Rapper, but he’s certainly making a name for himself. Specifically, he’s much more political. Throughout each project on the series, you can tell that he deeply cares about what he’s saying. Bennett takes the time to express his thoughts on bisexuality, race, his newfound fame, and a number of issues at the forefront of Chicago.
The 8-track EP features appearances from Chance the Rapper and fellow Chicago native Bianca Shaw. It’s been exciting to see Bennett’s growth as an artist, and with this project, he delivers some of his best work. Stream below, and let me know what you think.
