Sam Newaz known as SnewJ is a Los Angeles, CA native who live the first 12 years of his life in SoCal before moving to the inland empire.
SnewJ at a young age always had the mind to go after what he wants. He has the mentality of a “go getter” and it came from growing up in playing sports like basketball. Being as spontaneous, adventures, and creative at such a young age. SnewJ always wanted to be more then an athlete. He wanted to be an entertainer but at the same time an entrepreneur. To inspire!
At age 22, SnewJ graduated from cal state university of San Bernardino. Started selling cars as an auto broker right off the bat to become more business oriented.
At age 25 SnewJ started his YouTube channel with no intention of becoming famous but just to create content. As SnewJ continued with his YouTube journey, he kept growing significantly. Now he has over 1.2 million fans internationally but he didn’t stop there.
From the audience he’s built over the last couple of years he’s created a clothing brand in No HESI Apparel, a fitness line, and now his latest venture is his first music festival. He booked hip hop artist and Edm artist to perform at the Globe Theatre in LA on July 6th.
With the hustle, the grind, of this young entrepreneur/actor the work doesn’t stop there. He’s never satisfied and SnewJ continues to build an empire whether it’s from content creating or his businesses
RESPECT.: Growing up in Los Angeles what inspired the spark your entrepreneurship?
SnewJ: Sports had a lot to do with it. Basketball was one of my favs & I’ve learned a lot with the sport. From developing this competitive nature and the willingness to always learn & to get better as a human-being. To be a leader, to give, and to make the world a better place & that starts with myself. Without sports, I don’t think I would have the DRIVE to do the things I do now.
RESPECT.: What were a few of your influences that inspired this path?
SnewJ: My mom and dad. Both came to the USA at a very young age with no money & made a beautiful life by grinding out here. I owe it all to them.
RESPECT.: How did you get into selling cars as your first hustle?
SnewJ: I’ve always been a sales man naturally. Always sold stuff on craigslist at a young age & did well. Met someone that knew the car broker game & went under his wing. I learned all the ropes and became my own Auto Broker.
RESPECT.: You created your clothing brand “No HESI” apparel what inspired the lifestyle and what does it mean to you?
SnewJ: I’ve always had this “No Hesitation” mentality. IF you want something in life, you simply go after it. You do whatever it takes, you figure it out, until you get it. I put this message in my YouTube videos & it has inspired many to go after their dreams. That’s why this apparel is more than just fabric. There’s a meaning to the message.
RESPECT.: What path did you take to get to where you are now?
SnewJ: When I started making good money on Youtube I quit my car broker job. From there I kept building a strong audience and I felt that I can expand my opportunities. So I created a clothing brand, fitness plan, & my latest venture, Music festivals. My very first one will be on July 6th at the LA Globe theatre.
RESPECT.: What message does your brand give to those inspired by the lifestyle and what do you want them to take from it?
SnewJ: To go after what you want, without hesitating. Life is just too damn short.
RESPECT.: Any future plans for where you want to take it in 2019?
SnewJ: Continue growing my YouTube channel, No Hesi Apparel, & creating more music events.
RESPECT.: What does RESPECT. mean to you?
SnewJ: It means LOVE. Integrity, never giving up.
