“Know My Pain” is a powerful song about suicide awareness from Compton’s own OG Cuicide. The LA emcee has been using his voice and artform to take on depression and mental illness, both in and outside of South Central, for over 25 years.
Following a failed suicide attempt at 22-years-old, the aspiring rapper found a renewed spirit through activism, mentorship, and a decision to spend his second chance at life advocating for mental health and positivity. As of 2019, he is both proud and humbled to have been successful in encouraging hundreds of individuals to continue living through the struggle.
The music video for “Know My Pain” dropped on April 29, 2019. The single will appear on his much-anticipated, full-length summer release, titled OGs Are Forever—available via all major platforms on May 31.
