Mink Little: Award Winning Hairstylist

Natural hairstylist and entrepreneur Mink Little is the 2019 recipient of the “NPU X Community Design Award”. Presented by the Atlanta Urban Commission Design Awards via the Department of City Planning, Little’s hard work is paying off in ways she never imagined. Currently she is one of the most influential beauticians in Atlanta, and has no plans on slowing down.

Mink Little is a natural hairstylist from Detroit, Michigan who has been styling and braiding hair since the tender age of 8. After noticing the lack of growth and damage done to her daughter’s hair, she became determined to find a solution. In 2014, she founded her namesake all natural haircare line, and set her sails on new heights. Her strong desire to make women and children look and feel as beautiful as they are, forced her to relocate to Atlanta in 2018. This move would ultimately jump started her career.

While there, she opened up her 4000 square foot salon, allowing her business and brand to grow exponentially. Her mission to help preserve natural hair came full circle when local residents and celebrities caught wind of her unique braid designs. Before she knew it, her work was viral on multiple social media sites. Winning an award from the city that gave her so much, is just the icing on the cake. Now she has a legacy to passed down to her three children, aka the reason why she works so hard.
