Toronto based solo artist Mickey May released his new EP 2099, a memoir of his personal experiences and struggles in life and love. Mickey May describes his relationships with others while introspectively reflecting on various emotional situations. Tracks such as “Into Deep/Ecstasy” and “Internet” highlight his evolution as an artist. 2099 starts off with cool melodies and Latin overtones and slowly segues into a soft ambiance that provides a wide range of sound. May’s dynamic EP ends with the smooth, jazzy, and vulnerable outro featured in “Growing Pains” further emphasizing that 2099 is a wonderfully complex EP that hones in on a number of genuine experiences.
