Mercedes Mikes‘ debut EP, Dedication, was hosted by DJ Super Star Jay and was premiered at NYC’s Quad Studios. The Queens musician co-directed the first single off of his EP, “Gunz and Butter.” With this soulful wordsmith’s flow, it’s undeniable that Mercedes Mike is destined to be one of New York’s most salient emcees.
By creating his distinctive mark in the Mecca of hip-hop, he developed a name for himself through his meaningful lyrical precision and relatable messages. Mike’s unique sound quickly captures your attention. The rhymer blends elements of soulful beats and classical opera samples. Utilizing life experiences and struggles for inspiration, this ingenious and unique process makes for timeless and authentic music that can be felt.
Back in 2009, Mercedes Mike launched his own independent record label, MTM Records, which stands for Motivation To Morals. Mike curated this platform to connect emerging artists and creatives to be innovative and push the culture. His ultimate goal in being successful is to eventually create jobs and opportunities for others to excel in life and stay motivated. Mike remains devoted to connecting with his listeners and other artists to deliver positive and inspirational music.
