The Roots have been able to deliver one of the best festivals on the East Coast with their Roots Picnic for some time now, and it looks like this year’s lineup continues that sentiment. It’s been announced that H.E.R., 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Raphael Saadiq, Blueface, City Girls and many more will be joining the event’s namesake on stage. The podcast stage will be lit as well, thanks to Joe Budden, Questlove and The Read. Black Thought and J. Period will be joined by Yasiin Bey for their annual live mixtape display and The Roots themselves will be performing Things Fall Apart in its entirety in celebration of the classic album’s 20th anniversary. All of that and more, to be sure.
Check out the flyer below…this year’s Picnic takes place June 1st in a new location, at Philadelphia’s Mann in Fairmount Park. Get your tickets here.
