Last month saw Hip-Hop suffer a major loss with the passing of Cadet, one of its brightest stars on the rise. One of the main people that’s been keeping Cadet’s name alive is his cousin Krept, who helped spearhead an amazing tribute concert at London’s Brixton Academy over the weekend:
Just prior to the momentous occasion, Krept (with the help of his Rap partner, Konan) delivered a heartfelt track titled “Last Letter To Cadet,” the final installment of songs that helped signal his reunion with his lost loved one a few years ago. Hell, it would be worth it to hear all three tracks in sequence below…just make sure you have your tissues ready (because I sure as hell wasn’t).
R.I.P. to the Underrated Legend. UPDATE: I also added another very dope tribute to Cadet from fellow peer Rapman (below).
